The Vornado AQS 500 Filter (2-pack) was created with the allergy sufferer in mind. No cleaning or direct contact with used filters is required with Vornado's Air Quality System. Simply replace the filters (no tools required) when the change filter indicator light on the control panel is activated.

If you own this Vornado air purifier try buying bulk roll carbon pre-filters and add them to this filter. Cut them to size and put them on the intake side of the filter on the inside of the unit. You can tape them in if you want but I don't. This trick will increase the efficiency of the unit (remove more stuff) and will make these grossly over priced filters last longer. I checked the fan motor for increased heat and there was none so this is a safe and highly recommended mod.

As one would expect these work just like the factory filters that come in the box with the Vornado purifier. It should also be noted that these are extremely easy to swap out which probably shouldn't be taken for granted these days. We replaced our filters after about a year and will look to do so again in 12-24 months.
