I'm not a pro but I do believe that this works. I have one in my apartment bathroom and it's most effective with the door closed between use. (The exhaust fan must be as old as the building -50yrs- and there are no windows). It's really for small rooms/spaces. I love that it has a lifetime warranty, though limited, but even more so that the only maintenance is wiping off the outer grid maybe once a month. I've had mine for over a year now with no problems, and I can't remember having to clean the surrounding wall of any black particles that oher smaall purifiers are notorious for. The price may be hard to swallow at first, but I believe it to be worth every penny. It's at least 3 times more cost effective than cheapy ones I could have bought at the department store.

I purchased this as a final attempt to clean the air in my half bath downstairs where I keep two litter boxes. I've tried every type of litter, including the new one made from corn that is supposed to rid all odor. Nothing works. I purchased this and plugged it in. It gives off a very slight smell of ionization right away so you know it's working. I've had it for a few months now and I can say, in all honesty, you would NEVER know that I have two cats! The half bath is totally and completely odor free. This was worth every penny. I would highly recommend this unit.

I was a little skeptical - how much can a little box like this help, really?

I've had it about a month now, and would you believe it, it actually works? Just leave the door to the bathroom closed so the smell won't spread, and whereas sometimes that'd be an unpleasant surprise for the next person regardless of sprays and candles, now, the smell is back to neutral - or sometimes sort of a metallic-y "ozone" smell, which I had seen mentioned by other reviewers. It isn't a bad smell, though - it's more the smell of "sterile", and certainly loads preferable to the alternative. It even seems to dehumidify a bit too, which is great, since the fan in our bathroom is a bit weak.

The light is a bit brighter than a normal indicator like, and always on, and the unit also emits a very faint buzzing noise, so I wouldn't recommend it in, say, a bedroom - but it's perfect for its deigned purpose in the bathroom, or a backroom with a litter box or the like.
