I purchased Brookstone's Pure-Ion Pro air cleaner for the following reasons:

1. It doesn't require much space. The size (25.5" high x 11.5" deep x 7" wide) is suitable for my bedroom and the location I had in mind.

2. I wanted an air cleaner that does not require costly replacement filters. The Pure-Ion Pro contains one single filter which is designed to be used for the life of the product. Wash in warm soapy water or in your dishwasher. A flashing LED signals when to do that wash.

3. I wanted a unit with three fan speeds. This one has five. Fine with me. There's WHISPER, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH and TURBO. Quite obviously, this sleek product contains all the bells and whistles.

Great air purifier. Does the job nicely. But, just be careful when cleaning the filter. Yesterday, after setting the just-washed filter out to dry, I accidently brushed my fingers very light across the filter blades. (Don't ask why; I don't know.) Ouch! Got a bad cut on one finger tip; more painful and bloody than a paper cut! The filter blades are razor sharp; a little more pressure, and I might have lot my finger tip. Keep this out of reach of little kids when exposed to dry.

This is the 2nd Pure-Ion we have purchased. They make a amazing difference in the air quality of our Home. The also provide a added benefit of cutting down dust by I would guess 75%. Great Product.
