The white part in the picture is white Styrofoam which insulates the water cup so the water stays hot longer. This is not a problem as it works wonderfully and is very inexpensive, but I just wanted to point out that this is not a "pretty" item, lol.

Maybe I don't know how to use this inhaler. Or maybe it is not even designed for adult use - but I could not figure out how it works. I tried using it for my nascent cold a couple of days ago - and there was no steam coming out of it at all even though i poured in boiling water. I think by the time the steam reached the top of the tube it got cold... would not recommend.
