Summary: Love it love it 2010-08-21
Comment: We bought this Hunter or one just like it 8 years ago at Home Depot for our bedroom for $200. Our model has a remote, but I didn't notice one included with this model. It runs 24 hours a day on the sleep setting. I highly recommend a Hunter purifier. Even though you are probably not supposed to vacuum the prefilter, I do so I don't have to buy one every few weeks. When the prefilter level gets below 50% I vacuum both and reset the filters' life settings.

Remember to put the main filter back in rubber gasket side first. The arrows will tell you too. I saw a Hunter at the Goodwill store that someone put the filter in backwards and there was a nasty mess all inside the cleaner. Ugh.

Comment: i purchased this tower and it broke and they sent me a new one but i had to send it back on my dime. the second one broke. they want me to send it back on my dime.. they dont send out prepaid labels. they cant find my returned one so now they wont help me at all..I WILL NOT PURCHASE HUNTER PRODUCTS AGAIN !!!

Summary: Would not buy again. 2010-05-20
Comment: While this air purifier does work well, replacing the filters is a pain. You cannot just buy them in any hardware store. The only places I have found them are at the HSN online store and throught the Hunter website. The filters are not cheap, though you can get a much better deal through [...]. If I could do this purchase over again, I would go with a large purifier with a lifetime filter that can be easily vacuumed, like the one I bought for my kitchen.

Summary: Works great! You will notice a difference 2010-04-06
Comment: I have noticed a difference in my sinuses every since I have been running my air purifiers. I keep this on 24/7 and sometimes use the turbo mode if I can see little specs of dust in the sun light. I will say though that my allergies have improved and my sinuses are a lot less congested every since I have been using this.

The filters don't last very long...I don't know if that is just because I have a really dusty house or what, but I feel like it's worth the sacrifice so that I can wake up in the morning and actually be able to breathe out of my nose!

Summary: Good Value; Whisper Is Pretty Loud, but masks my Tinnitis 2009-10-25
Comment: Makes the air in my room and approaching hall smell clean and fresh. No more dust. Sinuses are great in my room. The machine is just as described but I never saw and have not seen the "backlight" and if you use it on normal or tornado settings it is major loud, but "moonlight" logo for "night" settings are fairly quiet. In full use, it would be too noisey to have in a room where people tried to communicate, and I'm talking when on high, noisey. The filters, which I haven't looked for yet seem to get used up noticeably fast, after one week one was at 90% and another at 85% of capacity, but those were high air contaminant days, but now seems like it is less inefficient about filter consumption. I had a friend tell me she did not replace the filter in time and ruined the machine permanently.]

I'd buy this again in a flash. Service and sales and shipment was a breeze. I have constant ringing in my ears from being on a rifle team in Air Force for three years and so I like the masking sounds of the fans.
