Comment: Makes the air in my room and approaching hall smell clean and fresh. No more dust. Sinuses are great in my room. The machine is just as described but I never saw and have not seen the "backlight" and if you use it on normal or tornado settings it is major loud, but "moonlight" logo for "night" settings are fairly quiet. In full use, it would be too noisey to have in a room where people tried to communicate, and I'm talking when on high, noisey. The filters, which I haven't looked for yet seem to get used up noticeably fast, after one week one was at 90% and another at 85% of capacity, but those were high air contaminant days, but now seems like it is less inefficient about filter consumption. I had a friend tell me she did not replace the filter in time and ruined the machine permanently.]

I'd buy this again in a flash. Service and sales and shipment was a breeze. I have constant ringing in my ears from being on a rifle team in Air Force for three years and so I like the masking sounds of the fans.

Comment: Product arrived on time and has been working effectively as advertised. The noise level in the 'active' mode is a bit high, but I got used to it within a few days. The 'sleep' mode is quite quiet.

Comment: I am a big fan of hunter products. Not this one. Even on the medium setting it is very loud.We keep trying to turn up the tv so we can hear over this machine, but the volume is already maxed out.For all the noise, it does a poor job of cleaning the air.

Comment: This air cleaner does an adequate job of cleaning the air. You can see how much dust builds up on the filter. The room air does seem to feel cleaner.
Be advised that this filter is quite loud. Even at the lowest of three speeds it can become annoying. Some people may have trouble sleeping while the air cleaner is running. I typically run it while I'm out of the room.
The size may be an issue if you're sensitive to room appearance. It's apprearance is similar to a floor standing stereo speaker. Be sure to check the dimensions. It stands approx. 29" H, 10" W, 11" D. The charcoal gray color makes it a little less obtrusive.
Replacement filters are pricey. I recently paid $37 for one. Your replacement schedule will depend on your conditions and usage. For me it's about once a year (but, I don't run it all the time either). I've owned this for two years.

Comment: This is the 3rd air purifier that I purchased for my master bedroom. The 1st (Therapure) worked well, but the control panel light was too bright for a bedroom, so I moved it to another room. The 2nd (Honeywell) was too noisy, so I returned it.
I bought this model, due to its features and sales price (floor model discounted price). Unfortunately, it is very noisy on the lowest speed as well, but I'll have to learn to live with it. On the plus side, its performance is excellent.
