When i first turned the purifier on with the new HEPA filter it was giving off an odd smell. So i left it on HIGH for a few hours with the room window open and left the room to it can air out. Well it didn't and then i realised that the semi-new carbon filter smelled bad so i changed it and now the air smells crisp clean. Recommended.
