Genuine Honeywell True HEPA filter. 99.97% effective at removing particles as small as 0.3 microns from the air that passes through the filter.*Overall particle reduction depends on many factors including the amount of air.
Comment: Some reviews have mentioned other sellers do not send Honeywell brand filters. I purchased the filter from Amazon.com which they did send the direct replacement. No fit issues, works great. Will replace again in 3 years.

Summary: It is not Honeywell. 2009-09-06
Comment: It is not an official Honeywell filter as another reviewer said
although it sounds it is. For this kind of compatible filter,
you can find cheaper price in other places. It is misleading.
The quality of the filter is ok.

Summary: I didn't receive a honeywell 2009-04-25
Comment: From the product description: "Honeywell 24000 Replacement HEPA Filter", "Genuine HoneywellTrue HEPA filter" I did not receive a Honeywell, I received a "RPS BestAir" filter clone. Outright misleading listing.

Comment: Just opened my Honeywell Envirocare model 13503 located on sticker on bottom. There is also a sticker on the top that says Filter 24000. Prefilter 33002 I believe.

Comment: I agree with other reviewers that the Honeywell is relatively noisy (white noise -- like a window air conditioner) but it does the job. My main complaint about the entire system (not the filters per se) is that there is no alert to tell you that you ought to replace the filter. I tend to be fairly busy, and the first I noticed that the filter was no longer working properly was when the area near it started accumulating a very fine dust. The Honeywell was still filtering larger particles, but it was actually polluting my living room with the very fine stuff. So of course I replaced the filter. I probably should pay closer attention, but some sort of sensor would be very useful to prevent what I experienced... which was actually the opposite of what a HEPA filter does. In the absence of a sensor, just be alert to the fact that a "lifetime" filter is actually good for about a year. Put it on your calendar and don't take it as much for granted as I did. BTW, this filter DOES fit the 52500 model, even though the specs on line don't say so.
