I'll be returning it tomorrow. I've heard much larger air purifiers that are much more quiet than this. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By GG (LA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Holmes HAP8615-U True-HEPA 4-Speed Allergen Remover (Kitchen) I bought this air purifier because the box claimed it was quiet, and it had a true hepa filter. It is the noisiest machine I have ever had! It's impossible to use it at night even on the lowest setting and on the highest it's extremely annoying even during the day. If the info on the box is that misleading, who knows whether the filter is "true hepa" or not? 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Holmes HAP8615-U True-HEPA 4-Speed Allergen Remover (Kitchen) Pros: Real HEPA air purifiers are expensive, and if you're on a budget this will do the job. It sort of flutters, so rather than "fffffffffffffffffffffff" you get "fufffufuffffffuffufffffffufuf". That being said, I'm running it in my office right now, and I'd much rather have some noise than be sneezing every...Read more |
