I got these to revive a filter tower I hadn't used for some time. It has an extra membrane for filtering which I think works better than the original equipment. The price was lower than the manufacturer direct and, it seems to be working fine.

Not a bad price, product seems to be working fine so far, but I have a few issues. First of all, the picture shows that there are tabs on the filter, however the filter I received does not have tabs. I re-read the product description and there is no mention of this particular filter NOT having tabs, so if you need tabs for the filter to fit your device, don't buy these! The invoice that came with the item states "***Note: These filters do not have tabs on the sides, if you need tabs search for HAPF40PDQ." This is probably something the company should have mentioned in the description! Minor detail.

It further states that these "filters are Holmes Brand equivalent and that each box filter measures approx 9 3/4 inches wide, by 4 1/2 inches high and 1 1/4 inches thick", which further contradicts what the product description shows as "measures approximately 4 3/4 x 10 x 1 1/2".
