The Germ Guardian EV9LB Replacement UV-C Light Bulb and Filter is especially designed to be used with the Germ Guardian EV9102 UV-C Room Air Sanitizer. The 9-watt UV-C bulb included is replaceable and eliminates 99.9% of targeted airborne germs. The filter included destroys odors and allergens like dust mites and mold spores.
The Germ Guardian EV9LB UV-C light bulb and filter fits into all EV9102 models. These bulbs and filters should be replaced once every year. UV-C light technology is a safe way to kill over 99% of airborne bacteria because it harnesses the power of naturally occurring UV-C light. This is the same technology hospitals use to sanitize. The bulb does not produce ozone and harmful bacteria known to cause staph, pneumonia, tuberculosis, bronchitis and meningitis is killed.

Comment: I bought the Germ Guardian about a year ago, and a few months ago the bulb needed replacing. I bought 2 replacement bulbs. I installed the first bulb.... which was much more difficult than advertised. The first bulb burnt out in 4 weeks. The seller, elite deals refused a refund or exchange because I was over their "time limit" for a return. So I installed the second bulb. It's burning out now... and it has only been 3 weeks. Don't believe the "lasts 5000 hours" bs. DONT BUY THIS.

Comment: This product is a glass light bulb, so, when it arrived in an envelope, I was amazed that it arrived intact!
Anyway, it was a 'snap' to install and worked GREAT from the 'get go!'
The bulb that initially came with our new Germ Guardian only lasted six months, so I hope this one fares better!
BTW, when you disassemble the Guardian to install the bulb, check out how well-built this device REALLY is!
IMHO, it's built like a truck and should truly last a lifetime!

Comment: Would buy from someone else due to shipping time. A savings of $5 is not worth the 3 week ship time. I don't think that they had it and had to wait on it to ship to them.
