This genuine factory original Aprilaire 1413 Filter Media Upgrade kit is simple to install. In the factory packaged box you will receive the following: 1- Permanently installed metal frame that assembles in minutes without tools, 1- Aprilaire model 413 MERV 13 Media filter which will replace your old style Aprilaire 401 filter or any other filter that you have been using in your Model 2400 or Model 2140 air cleaner, and 1- Door Spacer which may be required depending on the date that your air cleaner was manufactured as well as the door style your unit has. Use of the upgrade kit and it's 13 MERV filter will yield a 65% improvement in air filtration, according to Aprilaire. The potentially frustrating job of changing your air filter now becomes much easier because this Aprilaire 1413 Media Upgrade kit will eliminate the use of the black plastic pleat spacers (finger like combs that currently keep the folds of your air filter separated) as well as the white plastic housing that surrounds your filter to give it integrity.
