for the size of the purifier and the size of the filter, if you smoke in a room it will clear 1 to 2 cigarettes smoke in about an hour...not bad

I use these filters in the basement to remove the mustiness; in the kitchen to remove strong food odors; and in a room with a large parrot to get rid of the odors that come with a large bird. I use a shop-vac to extend the life of these filters.
