These mineral absorbtion pads really work. Our area in west Texas has water that is very heavy with minerals. These pads really help remove the mineral by absorbing particulates before they stick to the hot surface in the humidifier. Without the pads, we would have to clean the humidifier much more often and it would be more difficult.

Shopped around a lot to find pads that fit my V790. These are it. They do fit, and seem to be just like the ones that came with the humidifier when it was new.
