I purchased this item and it worked well for about a month and then on the highest speed setting the device started giving off a burning smell. Turning the machine down to the medium setting worked for a little while but eventually had to move the setting down to its lowest setting which worked for several months. Now turning the machine on at all causes a burning smell that is very unpleasant. Calls to Amazon.com and the manufacturer went without support or response. I would think twice before buying this item as I now have a $600 paperweight.

I have been looking for a good air cleaner to help with my allergies this cleaner seems to fit the bill. All of my symptoms have been greatly reduced to the point that I'm thinking of buying a second one to filter the entire house. The unit has a small foot print approximately a square foot and less than 2' tall, so it doesn't require a lot of space. The draw back is the unit is fairly noisy but I am willing to put up with it to feel this much better!
