The 3Q air purifiers have a lot going for them:

- electrostatic collector rod to get the dust (generates small quantities of ozone)
- charcoal filter to eliminate odors
- UV lamp to kill germs
- blue light night lamp
- 2 levels of operation
- easy to take apart and clean
- well built
- good price when compared with equivalent products

In fact, when compared to Sharper Image's Ionic Breeze, you get this for about half the price of the higher end product. Of course, the 3Q's are a lot smaller than the more expensive item but, still, you do get more for less with the 3Q.

The only issue I have with the 3Q's operation so far is the relatively loud fan noise when compared to the Ionic Breeze which runs without a fan. It's not VERY loud but you can hear it.

I bought one of these a year ago. It quit about a week ago - with a 3 year warranty. Didn't bother to go through the pain of mailing back - received a new one TODAY - and it quit in about 7 minutes. I'm NOT kidding! If I had the stamina and energy required to mail it back, I'd be at Wal-Mart shopping for a new one! And not this brand!

I'd bought one of these IONIC AIR FILTER PURIFIER UVCLEANER IONIZER and thought I was getting a bang for my buck, rather I got the cheap bang. The air filter hardly picks up any dust or mold for that matter, the UV light I've concluded is a joke because the surrounding air still feels the same as prior to purchase. My advise, choose a higher quality device with a bigger intake/out-take fan.
